Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Davido recently granted an interview with Taymesan, and he revealed some new information about himself and his late friend, 44.

It started with Tay asking about Davido's tattoos.

The one on his right bicep is dedicated to 44. Davido reveals that he gets them in Lagos. An expert "an amazing guy" often comes around the house and does wonders for the guys and others.

Tay: I think you have a relationship with 44.

Davido: Ah! Come on! He was one of the first people that booked me out for a show. He was living and doing shows in Canada. He would take me out for shows from Nigeria to Canada, and there he became my pal. 11 to 12 years gone now. Unfortunately, we lost him this year.

Did he miss him?

Davido said 44 was not the only person dear to him that dies this year. He lost his security and his photographer as well, who could have been taking pictures as the interview went on.

"May their souls rest in peace, we miss their legacies.

But he has no time because there's no time, as time passes too fast.

He talked about how bad his grades were in secondary school. It was so bad that one his teachers told him he wouldn't be anything in this life.

He also revealed how he met the South African star Focalistic. They met four years ago when he went to South Africa. Someone introduced Focalistic to him, and he (Davido) welcomed him, starting a relationship that has yielded continuous smash hits since then.

They discussed his music, his birthday scheme, and life in general.
