Davido Finally Opens Up About The Agony Of Losing His Son

"My son is watching over me. Besides supporting his mom, my primary duty, I must also be a source of strength for the world," Davido reveals.

Davido finally opens up about how he has been handling the death of his first son Ifeanyi months after the tragic death of the two years old.

In a podcast interview with Million Dollaz Worth Of Game on the 12th of June Davido opened up on the sadness that feels is soul following the loss of his son Ifeanyi on the 30th of October 2022 after drowning in a pool at Davido’s mansion in Lagos.

Following the tragic loss of his son Davido took a long break, and made a comeback to music with the release of one of the most anticipated albums “Timeless”, the album which immediately broke different records across all streaming platforms.

Davido has managed to come out twice strong and he served fans with an energetic and lively album despite fans expecting a sad and soulful album.

However, the DMW label boss opens up on how he cries every morning over the loss of his son "I miss him every day, tears roll down my cheeks each morning, even though you can't see it," he shared.

Despite the trauma of losing his son Davido admits the responsibility he has towards his wife, the mother of Ifeanyi, and his loved ones.

"My son is watching over me. Besides supporting his mom, my primary duty, I must also be a source of strength for the world," Davido reveals.

The certified beatmaker shared he has found peace knowing his son is rejoicing in heaven with his mother, which he lost at a tender age.

"People witnessing my recovery journey see that it's God's doing. My wife and I relied on faith, and God proved His existence."

Davido reveals that his faith in God has been the true comfort behind his recovery.
