Nigerian Army Don Order Soldiers To Learn Yoruba, Igbo And Hausa Before 2019

Di Nigerian Army don direct all deir officiers and men to start to dey learn di three major Nigerian languages (Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa).

Army spokesman, Sani Usman, for Wednesday morning talk say, dem expect, all deir personnel to sabi Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba by December 2018. Mr Usman talk say di directive be part of di new language policy by di army.

Usman talk say, di people wey  sabi speak di three major languages, na wetin dem go take beta pass others when dem dey apply for recruitment or commissioning to enter di army. So dem dey encourage people wey wan join di army to learn other Nigerian languages aside from deir native language.’’

He kon talk say, dem just introduce di language policy because di study of foreign and local languages na wetin armies dey do all over di world, to ginga soldiers to sabi plenti languages.

Di Army spokesman talk say English go remain di official language for di army, while dem go dey use Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa languages during Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities or interrogation.
