Port Harcourt Refinery Don Start Full Work Again After Small Scale Down Management.

The Port Harcourt refinery don start full work again after small reduced work, Mr Ibrahim Onoja, the company MD talk.

After di refinery tour on Sunday night,
Onoja talk say di Port Harcourt refinery don start full production again, 
and e don begin distribute products like Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), kerosene, and diesel.

Di refinery don get better upgrade to improve di efficiency and reliability, and e don affect di production capacity too," he talk.

"We don replace most of di equipment, including di pump installations and cables," he add. "Di plant dey run, and we dey truck out our products," he talk.

Mr Moyi Maidunama, wey be Director of Operations for Nigeria Pipeline Storage Company (NPSC) Ltd, talk say dem get small reduction in production, but e no last long.

He explain say di reduction na to fix some technical wahala wey go improve how di refinery go fit deliver products better.

"We dey manage di process with di trucks wey we get today, using three loading arms to load di products. Di issue go soon clear," he talk.

"Our operation no totally stop, but e reduce small, because we need fix some things, like make more loading arms dey work," he add.

"We don start to move refined petroleum products from di refinery since yesterday, and e go continue like that," he talk.

Mr Worlu Joel, wey be terminal manager, confirm say di refinery dey work well,  and say dem don begin load Premium Motor Spirit, kerosene, and diesel.

He explain say di depot get eleven functional loading bays, but dem dey use three for now because di plant dey very efficient.

"Each of di bays fit load up to three trucks in 15 minutes," he talk.

He also talk say dem dey face some wahala because tanker drivers no dey show up quick enough.

"We get enough product. If we get up to 100 trucks today, we go load dem in five hours. E no be our wahala again, na di tanker drivers," he talk.

Port Harcourt refinery don start production after long time of repair work.

Dem talk say di refinery don begin truck loading of petroleum products.

Di Port Harcourt refinery get two units, with di old plant wey fit refine 60,000 barrels per day (bpd)
and di new plant fit refine 150,000 bpd, making total refining capacity 210,000 bpd.

Di refinery no operate to full capacity for more than 20 years.

Dem shut am down for di first phase of repair work in March 2019 after di government bring Italy’s Maire Tecnimont to handle di review of di refinery, and Eni be technical adviser.

In 2021, NNPC Ltd talk say repair work don start after di Federal Executive Council (FEC) approve 1.5 billion dollars for di project.

On Dec. 21, 2023, di Nigerian government announce say di refinery don complete mechanical work, and di flare start-up don begin.
