Ruger Part Ways With Record Label "Jonzin World"

Nigerian sensation, Ruger has garnered widespread acclaim for his unique fusion of Dancehall and Afrobeats, enthralling audiences globally with his distinctive musical style.

In a recent development, the renowned Dancehall star has officially severed ties with the label that has been his home since 2019.

Ruger's introduction to the music scene occurred in 2020 when Jonzing World proudly presented him as their inaugural flagship artist. The exceptionally talented Dancehall performer swiftly made his mark in the mainstream with the release of his debut EP, 'Pandemic,' in the same year. This EP featured chart-topping tracks such as 'Ruger,' 'Bounce,' and 'Abu Dhabi,' solidifying his presence in the industry.

Following his breakthrough, Ruger achieved commercial triumph with his second EP, 'Second Wave,' boasting hit singles like 'Dior' and 'Girl Friend.'

In a pivotal moment in 2023, Ruger unveiled his inaugural album, 'Ru The World,' while still being affiliated with Jonzing World. This album showcased several chart-topping songs, including 'Asiwaju,' 'Jonzing Boy,' and 'Bun Bun.'

However, the latest development reveals Ruger's departure from Jonzing World after an illustrious four-year journey with the label. Breaking away from the established entity, Ruger is now embarking on a new chapter in his career, establishing his record label, Blown Boy Entertainment. This significant move was hinted at in a recent freestyle video shared on his Instagram story, where he proudly unveiled the moniker for his newfound creative venture. Ruger's departure signifies not just an evolution in his career but also a bold step towards greater autonomy and creative expression.
