Lamboginny lends his voice to the cause...
Nigerian singer, Lamboginny has shown massive support for the war against sexual assault perpetrated against women, most especially ladies under 18 years. He did this through his latest work, “Control Yourself,” an Afrobeat song produced by Benie Macaulay, and released as a single track.
According to Bella Naija, as the number of rape cases identified and unreported in the country continues to rise, Lamboginny lends his voice to the cause with a Fela-inspired brash-toned Afrobeat song.
What inspired the song seems to be recorded over reports of rape and other gender-based violence against women and children as officials said rapes have tripled during the country’s coronavirus lockdown.
The singer, now turned activist chastises those who are culpable or who want to commit such an act to control themselves. He expresses his indignation and frustration at the nature of such sex offenses.
He actually sings with Fela's voice, while the rhythm reflects the powerful sound of the late singer who campaigned strongly against injustice and corruption.
