CBN Don Increase Dia New Withdrawal Limit to N500,000

E neva too tay wey Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) drop new waka wey go reduce the amount of money wey pipu fit dey collect as cash everi week. But e be like say the Oga pata pata bank don hear say the waka no make pipu belle sweet, so dem don change the total money wey pipu fit collect everi week as cash.

CBN tok say dem go change the weekly cash withdrawal limit from 100k for pipu to 500k, and for company, dem go fit collect 5 million instead of 500k.


CBN Director in charge of Banking Supervision Department, Haruna Mustafa. Naim come to this one on December 21.

Eim also yarn say " If anybody or company wan collect money wey pass the limit,  the pesin go pay three percent of the money wey dem wan withdraw while if na company dem go pay five per cent of the money dem wan withdraw."

And dem go still need to bring ID Card wey go tok who dem be like National ID; International Passport; a Driver’s License; the Bank Verification Number (BVN) of the payee; Tax Identification Number (TIN) 

And you go need to put am for the website wey CBN don make to take dey put dis kind information.


Oga Mustafa, still tok say if pesin give you cheques wey pass N100, 000, you no go fit collect the money as cash.

Dem say  make people use internet banking, mobile banking apps, USSD cards/POS, eNaira, etc. Take dey run sending and collecting of money instead of to dey carry cash.

The letter come still yarn say CBN no take small eye dey look Bank and Mobile Money Agents oo, because dem no say the work wey dem dey to dey very important, as na dem dey help pipu wey areas wey no get the bank to make sure say dem too go fit send and collect money. 

That na why dem go continue to dey help dem do dis dia work

No forget say na on the 9th of January 2023 naim this new money waka go start.
