Nigerian Lyricist, Vector shares why fans won’t accept his fellow rapper M.I Abaga's new name.
Some weeks ago, M.I Abaga took to his social media accounts to announce a change of name, “The Guy” which followed a lead track off his forthcoming album.
In a live television interview, Vector reacted to the change of name when asked about it.
“I wish him good luck with the transition from the old name to the new one but I think it will really not work. We will accept it but they will call him M.I regardless.”
Vector reveals that fans will rather stick to calling him M.I than his new name.
M.I is set to drop his highly anticipated album “The Guy” under his new name, although he revealed in a Cool FM interview with Mannie and Mahogany that he was half joking when he talked about changing his name.
