Naija Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) don suspend the strike wey dem plan to start today, 3 October, for 30 days.

Dem suspend the strike after dem hold meeting with federal government for Abuja on Monday.

The meeting wey last for seven hours end around 11 p.m., and after the meeting, Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong, release 15-point statement.

Inside the statement, government talk say dem go fulfill the promises wey dem make on 31 July and 1 October.

Some of the tins wey dey inside di agreement na:

  1. Dem go set up committee for minimum wage within one month.
  2. Dem go give federal government workers N35,000 every month from September, pending when dem go sign new minimum wage law.
  3. Dem go stop VAT on diesel for six months.
  4. Dem go release N100 billion for plenty high-capacity CNG buses wey go dey use mass transit for Naija.
  5. Dem go provide 55,000 CNG conversion kits to start autogas conversion program.
  6. Dem go build CNG stations all over Naija, starting from November.
  7. Dem go pay N25,000 every month for three months, starting from October, to 15 million households.
  8. Dem go put tax incentive measures for private sector.
  9. Dem go share subsidized fertilizer well-well to farmers.
  10. Government go fund micro and small-scale businesses.
  11. Dem also talk say dem go visit government-owned refineries to check how dem dey do.

NLC president, Joe Ajero, talk say labor go still talk about these matters again after 30 days, while TUC president dey demand say make dem implement am 100 percent.
