Surpasses Tems, Wizkid, other singers from Nigeria
Fast-rising Nigerian singer Ckay has surpassed Tems to become Spotify's top artist from Nigeria.
Ckay has gone past the fifteen million monthly listeners mark on the music streaming platform Spotify. He's now the biggest act doing the Afrobeats genre to rack up such numbers.
Nigerian soul-stirring female singer Tems had that position for over a month. She earlier surpassed Wizkid with over fourteen million monthly listeners on Spotify.
CKay, whose smashing tune 'Love Nwatiti' has been blowing up worldwide, has surpassed Tems. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #80 earlier this week.
We see both Ckay and Tems as fast-rising stars coming on the horizon as these two now boast higher monthly listeners on Spotify than heavyweights like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Tiwa Savage, and the likes.
The unique tale about 'Love Nwatiti' is that it has about five remixes on Spotify. That is the only track that gave CKay this accomplishment on Spotify.
