American rapper Kanye West has announced his retirement from the music industry. Expressing uncertainty about his next steps, the 'Ye' artist revealed this decision during a recent conversation with Rich The Kid.

Rich The Kid shared a screenshot of their chat on his Instagram story on Tuesday, where Kanye West said he's retiring from professional music, and he's not sure what else to do.

Rich The Kid, attempting to persuade Kanye to reconsider, responded on social media, "Retire? Why? How? The people need you. The music you, [Dollar $ign] and we have created has had a significant impact on culture to this day in 2024.

He urged Ye to release "Ye about mine & V2."

"Let's start afresh. The youth look up to you, big bro. Take a break for fashion, but retirement isn't the answer." [Sic].

We don't know if Ye accepted his advice or not.

Kanye West is one of the most prominent figures in hip-hop till this day. H is known for his varying musical styles. His music career began when he was a producer in Chicago after dropping out of college.

He gained prominence after co-producing Jay-Z’s 2001 album ‘The Blueprint’ and was later signed as an in-house producer for Roc-A-Fella Records.

In 2004, West released his debut album, ‘The College Dropout,’ which was met with critical acclaim and yielded the Billboard Hot 100-number one single ‘Slow Jamz.’
