Former Presido Goodluck Jonathan Don Tok Say Di Federal Government No Lose $49.8 Billion For Im Tenure As Presido.

 

Jonathan tok dis one for Abuja on Thursday wen Former Minister of Finance and National Planning, Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, launch im book. Dr. Shamsudeen Usman don also serve during Jonathan tenure.

Di News Agency for Nigeria tok say the book title na "Public Policy and Agent Interests: Perspectives from the Emerging World", other pipo follow write di book with am.

He tok say he get respect for di views wey di author write, but im no gree with some tok from di former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), wey be di  present Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi 11.


"Make I tok say I no gree fully with some mata wey one of the contributors tok. But I no plan to join di mata becos, na our royal fada, and im dey here.

"Di one wey he tok say dem sack am, na becos im blow whistle say di Federal Government lost $49.8 billion, and e no really correct.

"Dem no sack am, dem suspend am becos di Financial Reporting Council question di way wey CBN take spend moni.

"Na serious crime wey dem suppose look into. Na di reason be dat. So before we finish, im tenure don pass, maybe we for don call am back.

"For dat mata of $49.8 billion, till today I never believe say Federal Government lost $49.8 billion", according to am. 

Jonathan also tok say the money too much to lost for country like Nigeria wen total budget dey less dan di amount of money wey miss.

"Dat year, our budget na $31.6 billion. So for country wey get budget of $31.6 billion, make dem come lost moni wey reach $50 billion and dem pay salary.

"So, wen our Royal Fada tell us amount, first na $49.8 billion, later $20 billion and later again $12 billion. I no even know the correct one.

"Immediately e happen we order Price Water Coopers (PWC) make dem do forensic audit.

"Di report wey dem come up with, con tok say, make NNPC pay $1.48 billion wey dem no fit show workings for, say make NNPC pay di money to di Federation Account.

"Dem no tok say we lost $12 billion or $49.8 billion. Senator Ahmed Makarfi still dey alive, and na  him be Chairman for the Senate Committee on Finance dat year.

"Dem use external and professional auditors to investigate di mata, dem no see di $50 billion,  $20 billion or $12 billion", according to Jonathan 

Di former president, tok say he regret to appoint Usman as minister, e still  tok say e appoint himself as one of di best planning ministers, dis country don produce.

"Usman sabi well well and e get passion for strategic planning wey dey important for di development of economic development.

Jonathan, wey write di foreword of di book, recommend am to all, even policymakers, business leaders, public officials, students and academics.

As he dey deliver eim remarks, Sanusi still add eim own for the event, Sanusi still send greeting to Jonathan as im Oga wey sack am, but get respect for am.

Sanusi advise Nigerians say make dem use Dangote Refinery well well instead to dey stress am.
